Viewsonic unveils first laptop, the ViewBook Pro.

ViewBookPro

After many years as a manufacturer of displays and all-in-one PC’s, Viewsonic introduces the ViewBook Pro VNB131. The ViewBook pro will have the Intel ULV Core 2 Duo processor and says it comes specifically designed and tuned for Win7. It will come with a 13.3-inch LED backlit screen, featuring 1280×800 res and 16:10 aspect ratio..not bad..hell they better get the display right! It has 2BG DDR2 and a SATA drive with 320GB..not too shabby…that should be more than enough to run Win7 Home Premium..or Ultimate. Battery life is 8 hrs standard, add 4 hrs to that with an additional battery. Also has a bunch of other goodies like HDMI out, BlueTooth 2.0 and a 7-in-1 card reader.

Its gonna be interesting to see how they fair with this attempt at a laptop.  Taking a look at the hardware, they seem to be focused on providing a smooth media experience, which IMO tells me that they did their research, and I trust their displays so I think this will be a descent machine. The HDMI out and 7-in-1 reader is a must nowadays so I think they made a wise choice in the inclusion of both.
